This is where I plan on talking about my mathematical interests! I am currently in my third year of math undergrad and want a place to display what I'm intereted in/thinking about. Eventaully I'll make one of those formal math websites everyone has to display papers and things, but I don't want to be limited by that formality here!
Math im working on right now
Editing my paper from this summer on the density of visibile lattice points on the intersections of n-dimensional hyperplanes
A directed reading program in homological and commmutative algebra. Though im currently in the throws of learning basic category theory. This week's goal is to prove Yoneda's lemma for myself<3
Third semester algebra class, learning about modules and things
introduction to complex analysis. meh
The Yale Tiling Project
A longtime fascination of mine has been tiling, which has gotten lots of attention as of late thanks to the aperiodic monotile that was discovered.
Did you know there are only 17 symmetry groups for periodic tilings of the plane?
insert lana del rey ocean blvd album cover. But yeah, only 17! no more no less. and my goal is to walk around campus and find as many symmetry groups as possible.
